My daughter tried to sync her music with a new MP3 player she got for Christmas. After syncing the music, WMC has taken over everything. Desktop Icons, etc. all open WMC. I cannot go to system restore. I cannot go to internet explorer. They all open WMC. Please help.

Right click on the taskbar and click on Task Manager. If it opens, click the file menu and click on New Task (Run). In the run box type rstrui.exe and click OK. That should open system restore for you. Hopefully that will work and you'll be able to get things straightened out that way.

Thank you for your reply. I ran the W7 DVD from boot and did a system restore repair to two days ago. Solved the problem
