Resolved Unknown Device AWY0001

    Have a Gateway Desktop running Windows 7 64 and under device manager\other\shows Unknown device.Under propertys for the Unknown device then\details\Id it shows ACPI\AWY0001. This is causing problems and I haven't been able to get rid of it.Hope some one can help.

    I've tried to to up date drivers but it won't update. I've run anti virus and matware programs(more than one).Nothing worked.

    To "update driver ", you need to actually have the new driver.
    Go to the gateway site and get the latest driver.

    I got it fixed. It was Intels Resume feature. I turned it off in the bios setup and the unknow device went away.
