setup

if i have a setup that is about 8MB and i need to copy it to another pc. if i use winzip and split this setup on several floppies, will it work fine when i merge the chunks together to get the setup as a whole again.

Actually, what i need to do is that i need to install acrobat reader on a pc which i dont have internet connection on it, and the pc which i have the setup of acrobat reader doesn't have a cd writer ... therefore i must use floppies.

It should work just fine. If you do a lot of this sort of thing you might want to check out chainsaw . It's free and has no spyware. It's kind of handy in that it splits the file and then creates a batch file that you use to join them back together. This eliminates the need to have any special program on the other computer to join them back together.

 

thanks for your reply. In fact I used to use chainsaw and i found it quite a good software. However, it doesn't work well with mp3's, while Winzip does.
