I am using Office 2007 on Windows 7. MS Outlook is not installed yet everytime there is a MS Outlook update, it is offered to me.

Is there a way to turn it off or do I have to live with it ?

I have wondererd the same and came to the conclusion that you have to live with it. In "Add/Remove programs" you can add or remove Office components and should you choose to start using Outlook, it will be up to date when you add that component.

I've never had this issue because i've always had Outlook installed aswell, even tho i barely use it :)

But I'm guessing since you dont have Outlook and it's not up to date, only one update is shown, right?
If so, you could just Right-click it and choose hide.

In the days when I ran XP with Office 2003, 2007 and used Outloook Express exclusively I did not originally have Outlook installed.

Nevertheless I was constantly offered the updates - my solution, I could find no other, was to install Outlook and ensure that OE was set as default.

If you read the FAQ on any of the bulletins that accompany these updates, this is what you'll find:

    That settles it Arie.

I don't normally read FAQ's on these bulletins, but may start now.
