Is anyone else out there having a problem with the updates? I continue to get the error "Error Connecting to Update Server ". I went to their forum and performed the changes but still am not having any luck. I am also running Avira and Comodo on XP Pro. According to the SpywareBlaster forum the problem is related to a recent update to Avira.

Here is the link to the SpywareBlaster Forum: http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?p=1797183#post1797183

And here is the link to Avira with the instructions to correct this problem (but it did not work for me): http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=288615

If someone has another solution please post it.
If not, I guess I will eliminate SpywareBlaster because I like Avira. I also have Spybot Search and Destroy and would like to know if that is enough protection - or what would you recommend?

    Thanks

I'm not sure if I like the workaround
Disabling Avira's protection against manipulation of it's own files/registry entries

I'm sure Avira must be working on a fix, I hope anyways
SpywareBlaster doesn't update all that often, the last update was Nov.29
BOBBO will probably post when there is an update, or another member
or you can use Calendar of Updates to keep up to date

For now, I'm sure manually updating SpywareBlaster databases wouldn't be to bad
Simply download 7 files and save them to SpywareBlaster folder, overwrite at the prompt, typically
    x:\Program Files\SpywareBlaster folder
as posted at Wilders Security forums
    http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=12266

    Scroll down to SpywareBlaster tips

Edit: Forgot to add, I do have the same problem on this machine with Avira and SpywareBlaster installed
    With XP

I went to the Avira Config and changed back what the link said to do. I will follow your link and manually download the updates.
Like you said, I will be patient and wait for a solution from Avira.
    Thanks for your help.
