Why do we have 32-Bit & 64-BIT versions of Internet explorer and why cannot IE8 64-bit NOT be the default Browser ??

I dont use the 64 Bit version of IE because many sites have Adode Flash and it still is not supported on 64 Bit yet.

In addition there are no 64-bit ActiveX components which rather cripples IE x64.

This thread relates to Internet Explorer and should be in that forum - moved.

Everyone will be happy to know that Adobe has released "Square" that offers support for 64bit windows, and works with IE9 64-bit. Please read about it here: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer10.html

Make sure you run Windows Updater and download and install the latest updates for Windows before you install the IE9 Beta. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/internet-explorer/products/ie-9/home

Thanks Rick. So now we're only waiting for Microsoft to give us a 64-bit version of Silverlight I guess :(
