    I copy and pasted the windows update session to a text document as it progressed.
    Odd that some updates install and some don't.

    I forgot to mention buy all accounts the machine appears to be clean of viruses and malware.
    All scans come up clean.

    It was the installer. It was on 3.1 and I updated to 4.5 and all seems fine.

    You would think that would be included in the update package. :rolleyes:

    I tend to think it was an issue with updating too much at one time (which with fresh installs would happen - not saying yours was one).

    Glad to see you got it sorted though :D

    For others an incorrect date/time setting on your computer may also cause this error.
