    Hello everyone:

Despite several hours searching online, I can find no way to make my
keyboard customizations in Word 2010 apply to Outlook 2010.

In Outlook 2003, there used to be an option to "use Word to edit
email messages." Apparently, Word is already by default the email
    message editor in Outlook 2010.

But for some reason I cannot make my 4 essential keyboard customizations "“ Control-T to delete a word, for example -- apply when composing email.

Instead, only the default keyboard commands in Word apply in Outlook.

Is there any way to make these few keyboard customizations work in
    Outlook "“ "control-t" to delete a word, "control-s" to delete a letter,
“page down" to move to the end of a line, and "end" to move to the
    beginning of a line?

They are hard-wired into my brain after 20 years of usage. So I
find it takes me approximately 4 times longer now to compose a
substantive email than it used to in Outlook 2003.

For instance, I keep typing control-t thinking I'm going to delete a
word, but end up indenting the paragraph instead. Which I then have to
    go back and correct.

Any ideas on how to get these keys customized?

I found this tutorial which shows how to customize keyboard shortcuts in Word 2010 which you probably already know how to do but there does not appear to be any way to do this for Outlook:confused:Well done Microsoft.

Yep, that's the problem right there.

    Thanks for looking, though.

And by the way, here's a statement from the tutorial: "Note Customizations saved in the Normal template will also be available in other Microsoft Office programs. "

Which, as we know, is not true.
