Is there a way to put a program (back) into the Start>all programs list?

I did a "drag and drop" of a program (MS Word) from the all programs menu
onto the desktop, my mistake. Now i need to put it back under the Start>All Programs
menu but win7 wont let it happen.

    Thanks,
    savagcl

Open the Start Menu then right click on "All Programs." In the menu that opens, left click Open All Users.

A Windows Explorer window will open with the contents of the Start Menu in the right-hand pane.

Over in the left-hand pane, scroll to Desktop, click the tiny arrowhead to the left of the word Desktop to display the contents.

Then either drag or copy and paste the shortcut from there into the appropriate folder of the Start Menu in the right-hand pane.

You can also navigate to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu, expand it and have access to all the folders on the Start Menu.

That's the method I use if I want to add something to a folder other than the Programs folder.
