Missing task bar

Can anyone help me with this?? Everything else is ok but there is no task bar on the desktop.

 

Any chance it was just dragged down out of sight by accident? To find out, hover the cursor over the bottom of the screen...the very bottom...and if it turns into a double-headed arrow, hold down the left mouse button and drag the task bar back up.

This has happened a couple times now. The only workable solution I have found is to create a new account and transfer the information from the old account into the new account and delete the old account. But that gets annoying after the 3rd time, cabishe?

 

Update:

I found that I had inadvertently installed an incomptible driver (wrong version or part #) for my S3 graphics adapter and it caused the problem >this time<.

To fix it, I "rolled back" to the previous driver and the task bar came back. Also, this time: I transferred the info but didn't delete the account (see post above).
