I have two computers with windows xp pro connected thru a HUB and my internet connection is shared, no firewall at the moment, except the one that windows creates protecting the internet connection sharing...
When i try to see jpg files from the other pc thru the network i can't, i can acess them but i don't see the picture. the jpg files r fine because i can view them in the pc they r in. they r not protected or anything, this is strange!!!

does anyone know what this means???

    Very strange indeed.

If you copy them to the PC and then try, can you view the pictures?

What is the default viewer for .jpg files on the affected PC or does the same thing happen from both when looking at .jpg files stored on the other?

i can view the pictures once i copy them to my pc, i only can't view them thru the network...
The default viewer is acdsee 4.0 but this happens with any viewer, i've tryed that already.

One other strange thing is that if i go to the pc that has the pictures and share the specific folder their in i can then view the jpg's thru the network, but only until that date, any new jpg's that had been added i can't see them!!! I have no idea why this happens!!!!

    Strange indeed.

The only possible cause I can think of would be with files on an NT system (NT4/2K/XP) and a permissions issue of some sort.
