LOL As you can see I'm very new to Laptops. When I bring up a web page and I scroll say to wherever and my pointer just ends up anywhere all of a sudden it makes that link or whatever pop up . I guess what I'm wondering is there an adjustment that would say make the pointer pad? not so touchy:(

    Thanks all,
    ~Paul

If you go into Control Panel > Mouse you should find a tab there for the Touchpad which will enable you to adjust sensitivity, etc.

There's only one sure fix - get a mouse! The clown that invented touch pads should be boiled in oil.

Seriously, we had mega-problems with the touchpad on wife's netbook - things turning on when you stopped scrollong because you'd reached the edge of the pad, hypersensitivity if you just slowed down your motion, etc. We gave up and got a small wireless mouse with a USB receiver. The particular one we got is a Dynex. It has an on-off switch to save battery life and the USB receiver fits inside the mouse and switches the battery off for traveling.

    Best accessory we ever bought.

Thanks Frank & PeteC, I will go into the Touch Pad setting & look again for some settings. Frank, after first week I bought my wirelesss mouse & I love it. Its a Logitech & also has the battery saver for traveling on it. Its just a shame that the Touch Pads can't be adjusted more for sensitivity!!

    Thanks,
    Paul
