About two years ago one of my raid hard drives died and had to be replaced. The guy who fixed things for me said that I might at some time be able to access the old drive and review the data contained therein. It's a very general question, but is this possible?

What prompts my question is a recent sale of 3.5. hard drive enclosures designed to convert internal SATA hard drives to external eSATA. Would one of these enclosures offer an opportunity to review my old hard drive? Just a thought.:)

If you plug the drive into a pc AND windows can see it - there might be the possibility to get the data off....

Next big issue is which raid type you were using. If it were Raid 0 - forget about it;)
