Resolved A Second Anti-virus

Hi leushino. Yes it is possible to run MSE on demand but its designed to actively run in the background and not as an on demand scanner.

But if you want to run it in that environment then you first need to stop the program from starting up with Windows.

First download and run Autoruns. Once you have extracted the files run the program and then click on the Logon Tab. You should see MSE listed. Highlight the entry and click the delete button.

After thats done you still need to configure MSE's service.

Click Start< Run and type services.msc and hit enter. Now scroll down until you find Microsoft AntiMalware Service. Highlight the service and right click it and hit properties. Set the Startup Type to Manual and click ok when done. Now reboot the computer for the changes to take effect.
