hi having a problem with my laptop. when i insert a disc it used to give me a choice what to do but now it doesn't do it.
i have done a right click on the cd/dvd drive and seems fine there not quite sure where else to look.

Right click on the drive ->Properties->AutoPlay tab.

EDIT: Is this the same pc as your other thread?

Now, I can only assume this is a fault in the CD drive.

I am out of ideas, the final one being, have you used a lens cleaner on it.

And my final, final thought, is to take the drive out and see what it does in another computer, that would at least prove if the drive was OK, or not.
