Resolved Used computer items for sale

    I wonder if any of the staff thought about a WindowsBBS section, which would list and sell used items?

    I bet many of the members have something sitting around, gathering dust, and taking up space, that they would rather sell. WBBS could make it simple as possible, requesting a "donated" 2% rebate from the seller on the honor system.

    I picture a section in which a member could post an item for sale. The monitoring would be similar to the procedures currently in place. I am only thinking of computer items, nothing else.

    Yea, thought about it & rejected it.

    There are many places where you can do that, and on our forum it would only increase the workload of staff and attract more spammers.

    I've done a bunch of buying and selling on forums like this in the past...

    Even twisted a sites Owner's arm to add a buy/sell section and he did...Maybe three people in three years have posted in it..

    The other 2 sites I traded at died a slow death due to lack of interest.

    eBay and Craigslist are the way to go these days;)

    Thank you, Arie, you are correct. I had another brain fart. Sorry to bother you. Sometimes I think that I am soooo smart, but most of the time I learn that I am not. You are doing a terrific job here at the BBS.
