Hi there this a direct quote from MS support: To install a Bluetooth device, you only have to connect it. Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) includes drivers for many Bluetooth devices. If Windows does not recognize a Bluetooth device, you can still use it by using the generic software support that Windows includes, or you can use the driver that the device manufacturer provides. To add a Bluetooth device to your computer, you can use the Add Bluetooth Device Wizard. To configure a Bluetooth connection, you use the Bluetooth Devices item in Control Panel.

You can join an ad hoc network between Bluetooth devices by using Personal Area Networking (PAN). When you use PAN, your computer and other Bluetooth devices use TCP/IP networking to communicate. If you have a Bluetooth device that supports dial-up networking, you can use it as a modem. You can use the Add Printer Wizard to use a Bluetooth printer wirelessly. Finally, you can transfer files between Bluetooth-ready computers or devices by using Bluetooth. This article includes step-by-step procedures for these tasks.

    Good Luck.

You should check the manual/User Guide that came with the laptop. In the specifications it should list whether or not it has a Bluetooth adapter. I found specifications for a 350 on a retail website, but for Bluetooth it said "no ".

If it doesn't have a Bluetooth adapter, you should take it up with the company that sold it to you (take it back there and ask them to make it work if they said it was included ).

I was asked to look at a netbook where the retailer said it had a WAN adapter. After doing some testing and checking I contacted the computer manufacturer and asked if that model had a WAN adapter, they said NO.

If it does not actually have a Bluetooth adapter, when you were told it does have one, go back to the retailer and complain (you should be able to do it online). They should give you one that does (with no extra cost), or give you a free USB Bluetooth adapter.

If it does not have a Bluetooth adapter built-in, you and we are both wasting our time.

You can look in Device Manager (see Help and Support) for a Bluetooth adapter (sorry, I can't guide you on what to look for, I don't have one on my computers here, maybe somebody else can tell you what to look for).

    Matt
