I have been using Advast 4.0 Anti Virus software on my pc for the last 2 years, and it worked great. However Advast just upgraded their software to 5.0 and they DO NOT SUPPORT Windows 98 anymore.
Does anybody know of any other good Anti Virus programs out there that I can download that support Windows 98SE?
    Thanks,
    Glen108

If you do a search from your browser you will find quite a few but to be honest the ones I would recommend (as is the case with Avast) are not supporting the Windows 98SE OS.

As Win98 is no longer supported by Microsoft and is now becoming obsolete I suspect that there will be less and less anti virus programs available for this OS. Maybe time to think about upgrading your OS.

I have 98SE on an old P3 - 550 Mhz desktop, I found a program named ClamWin Antivirus. I'd like to find a firewall for 98SE. Any help?

    Dick, try this link:http://www.clamwin.com/

Avast say support for Win98 ends at end 2010.

Nod32 is another to look at. Cheers Neil.
