Hello everyone, I have a big problems here I have same one entering my network, I have a Linksys Router I though I had a firewall but this is just a simple firewall, I need a good one??
can some one tell if a linksys router with firewall built-in is enough or I need a other brand firewall , which are a good one that is fairly easy to configured .
Thanks so much for your help..

Yes. The Linksys filters only inbound traffic; a firewall will add outbound filtering and help increase the overall security of your system. I use Kerio.

I don't understand how you can have someone entering your network if you have all the ports turned off? Unless your forwarding some ports or something.

I have been using Linksys's router at my house on my high speed line for awhile and works perfect. I have also installed them in friends house's and small business's and have not had any complaints.

Might want to make sure your firmware is up to date and check your advanced settings to make sure they are all set correct.

Jim - the router will not block connections which are initiated locally. If something like this finds its way onto your system then, with only a router, you're scuppered (unless your AV jumps into action).

A software firewall/application gate simply provides an additional layer of security.
