I am finding it more and more difficult to read Arabic text, obviously due to age!
Does anybody know if it is possible to install a larger font to be used for viewing Arabic documents?
I am using Windows 7 Home Premium.

Many apps will simply allow you to adjust the size of all fonts. Many apps like IE will allow you to adjust the "zoom size" so that any site regardless of the font will be bigger.

Getting newer glasses works for me:eek:

Thanks for the answers folks, but I have realised that nothing can be done about the arabic font size used by Windows, eg in Google, other than the small increase in size provided by the browser. It depends on the web site choice of font.
The Windows magnifier goes mad across two screens, so I shall search for any gadget that can magnify just a portion of the screen.

For Web sites your browser has a magnifier 'build in'. Look near the right bottom corner & click the drop down arrow near the % listed (100% by default).

You can get as big as you want...

Thanks for that Arie - being a Firefox fan I hadn't thought of using IE, but I will now when I want to read some arabic.

FF has roughly the same functionality, you'll only have to access it from the menu: View > Zoom (or just press [Ctrl] + [+] or [Ctrl] + [-])

    hi again,

to add or expand to Aries information:
    Firefox:
If you have a mouse with scroll button, press ctrl and scroll mouse up for zoom increase or down for decrease. Should you need to reset this can done by menu bar view>zoom reset or ctrl+0

No need to feel stupid, you'll just need to know, so someone has to tell you; might as well be us :p
