Something happened with Nero 8 when it quit working. I contacted nero and they redownloaded the install data. I tryed to install the program and had no luck. I then uninstalled mero 8 through the data that was downloaded. I restarted at all the desegnated times. I then retried to reinstall with everything going well. then Bam! I did get screenshots and will either down load them or send the message to the best of my ability. [EMAIL removed by moderator to avoid harvesting]

Do you still need help with this? If so could you report back with the error message you get when trying to install.

There is a lot of help offered on the Nero site. One thing that may be the cause of this is you might have left your firewall and anti virus running during the download.

First follow this instruction to be sure of the service that is installed.

Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl, and then click OK.
The last line under System tells you what service pack that you are running. If no service pack is listed, you are running the release version of Windows XP, if so download and install SP3.

This following instruction should then work.

To disable Windows Firewall, follow these steps:
Click Start, click Run, type Firewall.cpl, and then click OK.
On the General tab, click Off (not recommended).
    Click OK.

    What files have you deleted?

In run I verified that Sp3 is installed and that firewall.cpl Did not work I searched for firewall and deleted all with firewall except the foreign language files. That is where it stands now. Gene

You need to have your firewall repaired. Follow the instructions in this link to get it back to normal.

    http://www.ehow.com/how_6763904_repair-windows-firewall-xp.html

After this try to download and install Nero8 with just your anti virus disabled. If the firewall gets in the way you should get a pop up telling you it is blocking something which you can choose to unblock.
