    Hello All,

I recently installed (and subsequently uninstalled) a utility that would analyze MP3's for volume discrepancies. Upon installation this program must have set itself as the default audio media program.

Since the UNinstall I have been unable to "associate" Windows Media Player with my audio files. When I try to do so, - nothing happens (from the control panel).

In fact, when I choose a specific file type (MWA for example) and select "Change Program" WMP isn't even listed as one of the "suggested" programs. When I "Browse" to find the WMP .exe file and "Open" it, nothing happens. And I mean nothing.

    Thoughts?

Its an application which installs audio and video codecs which allow WMP and other media players to play different formats. I somehow lost mine, not sure how exactly but when I installed the codec pack I had WMP playing the audio files again.

I just installed that codec progam and still can't associate WMP with the file extensions.

The only change is that WMA files are now associated with "Media Player Classic - Home Cinema ", not WMP.

I still can't use the Control Panel to "associate" WMP with .wma files.

    Any suggestions?
