   How do I change the default font in both:
   
   1. Outlook Express 6 for both typing/sending email
   
   2. WordPad 5.1
   
   I know I can temp change it but it doesn't hold as a default

   Guess you've tried the usual method .....
   
   Change the Default Font Face and Color in Windows Live Mail or Outlook Express

   See in above URL ....

   For Wordpad there are workarounds only ...
   
   Is it possible to change the default font setting in Wordpad?
