I made the big mistake of deleting the command within "Send To" that said "Send to desktop and create shortcut "

Any help sure would be appreciated as I use this command all the time.

    Thanks So Much.

When you invoke a Send To, a missing Desktop As Shortcut entry means that Desktop as Shortcut.DESKLINK file is missing from the SendTo folder of your profile. To create it:

1 Right click the Start button and click Explore.

    2. Double click the SendTo folder.

    3. Click File / New / Text Document and type "Desktop as Shortcut.DESKLINK" without the quotes.

    4. Press Enter and click Yes.

    5. Close the Explorer window.

Another way to do this is to open a command prompt and type:

echo > <Drive:>\Path to your SendTo folder\ "Desktop as Shortcut ".DESKLINK

    Hi johnberb and Miz,

To further enhance the "Send To" feature, you should take a look at this.

    Regards.

    Hi Zephyr,

Thanks so much for this unique little utility.

What I have been doing is to simply create a shortcut on any Folder then cut & paste the shortcut into my Send To Folder -- I also choose customize and give the shortcut filder an Icon that will visually speed up my search as to where I want the file, etc sent.

    Regards,

    :p
