I have 2 questions, I am running 7 home and would like to know if there is a way to make an address book outside of contacts. I am not using hotmail or windows mail. I am also wondering if there is a way to organize the start menu like on XP?

    I'll address the 2nd Q, cause that's a simple answer: NO.

    Sounds like a step backwards.

No, actually its a step forward. Why keep all the old stuff around; we don't want a WinXP menu, we want something better!

There are 3rd party (paid for) programs that can make the Win7 Start menu XP style.

    Dakota,

I didn't see a reply to an address book. Doesn't anyone know?

I, too, am having an issue with that. I love my Outlook Express in Windows XP but purchased a laptop with Windows 7 64 bit. I am able to have my complete address book transferred over to Windows Outlook (I have Version 2003) and Thunderbird, but then I have to create the folders that all the addresses were in in Outlook Express. It put them DOUBLE in these two programs which is a pain. Not sure I have a choice, though. I also downloaded Windows Live to check out, too.

Hi Bulldogs Sweety, I happen to know who you are BTW. There is a Windows Contacts in V7 but don't know what that entails, haven't tried it yet. I wanted something like Outlook that you could print out actual address books from. Nobody has an answer yet. See ya around.

Well, big brother, I do have Outlook. My biggest problem was getting ALL the folders from Outlook Express to transfer over (that worked) and then all the folders (I have a lot that are categorized in Outlook Express) transferred over. All the emails go transferred over (a few hundred) but not in the folders, that's what I didn't like. I need to play with it a bit more, I guess.

    Thanks and take care.
