Resolved re-direct to msn

    Hi my computer re-directs to msn after about I access 5-6 different web pages.does anyone know the fix?i am running firefox-most current version,on XP Pro SP3.Thanks.

    Not an XP problem - malware possibly although the re-direct is not to bogus sites. I think the Firefox forum is the best place to start - moved.

    Your firfox may have MSN as default search engine. Any time you visit that site, then it redirect to the MSN search page. You may change the Firefox default search engine.

    Hi again when i use live messenger, after i close it, i get directed to msn again as well.i changed the home page to Google and it stopped re-directing me when i went to sites.Can msn be gotten rid of?thanks.

    As far as as I know Msn is no longer the search engine for Msn, the ISP. Bing, which is excellent, is. I use Bong in one installation of Firefox, and it, never, gave me any trouble.
    Msn is not my ISP, but I know that it is for a lot of people. It is not mine, and, I fail to understand how it came into the picture, at all, unless someone did it on purpose. My question is, again, is Msn the ISP? Regardless, Firefox should not be affected, and making anything modern the default engine should fix the problem. Msn, the default engine is not modern, and should be replaced.

    Hi now when i visit different sites after i changed the homepage to Google it doesn't re-direct but when i go to my Live account after i'm finished checking my Live account it re-directs me to MSN.
