    Hi, all!

This is my first post after the BBS is up again. So first congratulations!

My problem is as follows. On a Toshiba laptop running win2kpro, I configured the power button to hibernate the system when pressed. It works OK. But if after a while I press the power button again, the system resumes but the screen displays nothing but random horizontal black strips in white background. The system does not hang there because it can be hibernated again by pressing the power button again. After the second hibernation, if I press the power button instantly, the system just resumes without the display problem. Has anybody had the same experience? Is there any solution to this problem?

    Many thanks.

I was out of reach to the internet for a while ...

Yes I have everything the latest version.

Recently I noticed that the problem might be related to the speedstep technology, because I did not experience this problem when using the laptop's internal battary as power supply. The problen only occurs when the power adapter is in use.

    Any clue for a solution?

    Bump again :)

Disabling the speedstep driver did nothing after all. So, I guess the problem is some how connected with the power adapter ...

But why on earth the laptop feels any difference between the battery and the power adapter? Anyone knows about this?
