How to change cmos battery

    Hello.I've heard that if your clock starts telling the wrong time that means your CMOS battery is on its way out.I have a ASUS P4B motherboard anyone know how i would change the battery?thanks.

    Complete instructions...with pictures...and on this page.

    Take the battery with you when you go buy a replacement to be sure you get the right one.

    Make note of which side is up before you take the old one out so you can get the new one in right side up the first time.

    CMOS Battery

    hi so basically you remove the CMOS battery and replace with a new one .No other requirements?

    I have changed probably 50 or so and that is all I ever had to do. Then when you boot up, make sure the right time and date are there.
