Resolved loading win7 from XP

    I know when you load Win 7 from XP that it creates a "windows.old" folder, but does it erase everything when it loads so it's like a clean install? Or would it be better to do a format and install. If Win 7 erases and does a clean install then I wouldn't have to do the format.

    Not exactly as it creates the Window.old folder.

    It would be far better to make a clean install of Windows 7 - use the Custom install to delete the existing partition (s) and format.

    Thanks, that's what I thought. I prefer a clean install. I was hoping the upgrade would do that.
