    Hi,
Windows XP (I need to install SP3 - 32 bit) but I have a general question: I restored the registry to July 18th yesterday (July 21st) to correct a mail problem which did not solve the problem. Now I see the mail problem may have started on July 15th.
    1. Do I undo the restore from July 18th and then restore from July 14th?
    2. Or is July 14th too far back?
    3. Or do I leave the July 18th and simply restore from July 14th?
    Thank you

Are you certain that the mail problem is registry related - maybe better to post that issue in the Microsoft Mail forum.

I see no reason why you should not restore back to July 14 straight away.

    Hi,
    Thanks for replying.

It was Mozilla 1.7.12 and I could not access my mail. I never did re-restore the registry since what you said made sense. I posted in the 'Firefox, Thunderbird & SeaMonkey" group ( "Windows BBS ") and got help solving the problem.

    Thanks again
