Resolved OE 6 spell check not working

I recently purchase office 2010 for my xp, but prefer to utilize OE 6 for email. NOw the spell check is not working any longer. Can anyone help me with this?

Fix spell checking in Outlook Express 6

This was the fix for most flavors of Microsoft Office prior to 2010 but I would try it.

You may find that spell checking does not work in Outlook Express 6.0. When you try to spell check a message, you receive the message "an error occurred whilst the spelling was being checked ". The cause of this problem is a missing file which Outlook Express requires.

Solution

Obtain a copy of the file csapi3t1.dll and place it in the folder "Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Proof ".
It is on your installation CD or on your hard drive if you have a folder called i386.
