I have just installed Iomega Quick protect on my new Win 7 pc and everytime I start up the pc I get a user account box saying do I wish to allow the program to make changes to my pc. If I say yes all is ok but if I do not see the box the pc seems to bypass this and takes my non response as a "no" so Quick protect doesn't open.

Each time I open the pc I get the same message which is really anoying.

The User account settings are set at default " Notify me only when programs try to make changes to my computer!" Why can't the pc remember my choice?

Any help would be great please.

You might have a box to click on that says: Remember my choice, or something like that.

There is no way of making an Exception list for UAC - it was one of the universal 'wants' listed by users in Vista and 7 beta, but ignored by MS in 7 RTM :)

From what I see on Google creating a scheduled task to run with the highest ptivileges may circumnavigate your issue. Read through some of these hits ....

Because Windows sees imaging the hard drive as a change to your computer.
