I'm asking this for ANY ver. of Outlook that this feature may apply to. I don't use Outlook, so bear with me.

Is there a way that I can browse/point Outlook to save E-mails/Calendar/ Address Bk to another partition/HDD? I'm trying to create an easy way, other than constant backup that lazy residential customers NEVER do, to store that vital data in case of an unexpected crash on the C:\ drive.

    Thanks,
    GPL

You have to move the ".PST" file to wherever you want to store data & then tell Outlook to use that file.

That's the theory at least. Since I don't myself use Outlook, I won't be able to provide you full details.

Just installed Outlook Ultimate 2007. I've pointed Outlook to store the Outlook.pst file everywhere I know to in the app, but I'm getting this error msg when the addon prompts me to backup:

"Cannot copy Outlook: The process cannot access the file because another process has locked a portion of the file. "

    Any Hep 'preciated,

In older versions - you select the backup option to backup and then close Outlook so that file isn't in use.
