Running windows 7 64bit ultimate, I read somewhere that the IE browser had some sort of unresolved problem that MS had not resolved and suggested Mozilla Firefox 3.6 as a better choice.
I installed the Mozilla browser but it lacked features that I wanted so I attempted to uninstall it and still cannot get it completely out of the system.
Anyway, IE has closed for an unknown reason along with an error message advising me that whenever MS resolves the issue, it will notify me.
I realize that this scenario sounds screwy, but if there is a choice, I would like to completely remove the Mozilla application and stick with IE.
If anyone has an answer or better solution to this, it would be greatly appreciated....thanks....rocknroller

How did you uninstall it ? Uninstalling it from Add/Remove Panel removes it completely.

Try updating Windows. It may cure the problem.

How to completely uninstall Firefox: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Uninstalling_Firefox
However, it's always a good idea to have two browsers installed, even if only for troubleshooting purposes.
On a side note, I'm curious about those features, IE does have and Firefox doesn't.

What kind of issues do you have with IE?
Did you try to reset it to its defaults (Tools>Internet options>Advanced tab> "Reset" button)?
