Resolved Cant install HP SolutionCenter

    I had problems with my system drive and had to replace it. After replacing and cloning it, I found out that I lost HP SolutionCenter. I downloaded it and
    and tried to install it. The install keeps dieing with the message that oldert version of SolutionCenter cant be removed. I uninsatll it and try again and get the same message. Can any body help me? DPI.

    I've tried that and it seems that a bunch of other people are having the same kind of problem.

    You might try ....

    Revo Uninstaller

    Read the instructions and only delete the bolded registry keys when you get to that stage - back up your registry first :)

    I have not tried this yet because I couldn't affords to mess up my machine because of work needs but I'll be trying it this weekend. DPI

    Another thought - is HP Solution Centre that important to you? - I can't remember ever using it on 2 x HP laptops & 1 HP tower.

    NO except that I need a driver that will allow me to scan documents from my all-in-one hp printer. Any suggestions? If I could, I'de get rid of ALL my hp software. DPI.

    If you can't download the appropriate drivers for your all-in-one from the HP site - model no. might help :) the alternative may be VueScan which I use for my Nikon film scanner after the Nikon software insisted that there was a hardware error and refused to work.

    I installed vuescan and it says that there is no scanner attached to my computer. What now? DPI.

    I'm going to mark this thread as resolved because my problem now is with xp not just hp. The solution center installed after using Revo Uninstaller and re-installing it. I now have a problem with xp recognizing the scanner so I'll open a thread on the xp board. Thanks for all the help. DPI.
