    Hi Guys,
I don't visit often but you usually sort me out.
I have two IDE hardrives working well under XP in my 2002 Avus A7V333 motherboarded Evesham Axis 2200+, but I would like to change the 2nd or slave, to a larger capacity SATA, perhaps to 1TB from 300Gb Are there any problems in using a Sata/Ide adapter (maybe the Lindy IDE converter to Sata drive). It says all you do is plug the adapter into the back of the new drive as described in their accompaning manual, and off you go. Is that really all you need to do or am I going to wish I never started. Has anyone tried this. Any advice appreciated.
    Thanks for your help
    Regards
    David D

I think the PCI controller cards are much more fool proof then the adaptors are.
