I've searched and searched for a resolution to this issue, and while I've found many many people with somewhat similar issues, none of the resolutions has worked for me.

Whenever I open Adobe Bridge (CS3) I get the dreaded "There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive \Device\harddisk4\DR4 ". It sometimes appears as ....harddisk2\DR2 as well.

Adobe Bridge is the only program with this problem, and it had been working fine for months until just recently. It will still work OK until a USB memory stick is placed into one of the USB drives, so I know the problem is somehow connected to one or both of those ports. As soon as a memory device is placed into one of the USB ports, the problem occurs.

I've made sure that Bridge did not somehow get mapped to a drive besides C:, so that isn't the case.

I'm running Windows 7 on an HP Pavillion Elite.

    Thanks for any advice!

    Tom

    tmarks -

Thanks so much for pointing me to that page for troubleshooting Bridge. I was able to resolve my issue following one of the suggestions there. You've saved me immense headaches - thanks again!

I'll mark this problem as Resolved.
