No Properties for Hard Drive

    My PC seems a little sick at the moment - nothing drastic, just not firing on all cylinders.

    Right clicking on the hard drive in My Computer brings up the menu, but clicking on Properties retrieves nothing - absolutely nothing happens. If I open the drive and then try File, Properties - same result. Also, using Disk Management in Admin Tools - nothing happens.

    Have run Disk Cleanup & defrag (Diskeeper) and chkdsk. Also ran sfc /scannow. Whilst chkdsk first found some errors a subsequent run found no errors.

    Any suggestions, please?

    Pentium 4 1.5ghz, 512mb RAM, one physical drive (Maxtor) not partitioned, not dynamic. W2K SP3

    Are you running ZoneAlarm or any product that starts the TrueVector service at boot up?
