My problem is that when i right click on a folder to share it, there is no sharing option on the pop up menu. The Network uses an NT operating system and when i contacted the System Administrator he couldn't solve my problem. Apparently, it seems that it is a problem from my pc and not from my login restrictions, because on any other pc if i login with my password I get the sharing option. However login with other people's password on my pc, still doesn't pop up the sharing option.

    Any ideas please ?

The pc which I use has a win 98 SE Operating System. please note that almost all other computers connected to this network operates under Windows 98 SE and there are some which have a Windows 95 installed.

Right-click on Network Neighborhood and select Properties. Click on the "File and Printer Sharing" button and check the box next to the option to give others access to your files. Once you click OK out of the screens you will be asked to reboot and when your system comes back up you'll be able to share folders.

strangely enough they are already checked both of the options to share files and to let others print to my printers.

Ok, then I'd remove "File and Printer Sharing" in the list with clients, adapters and protocols. Re-add the "File and Printer Sharing" service and then see what happens.

To perform the idea you told me, do I require any CD to insert, because actually, at the moment I am able to browse the netowrk and print on a network printer, and nonetheless, I don't want to lose the access to print on a shared network.

Eventually, if that requires to insert a CD, I must contact the system administrator because he keeps the cd's. However, as i said in my previous post, he tried to solve me the problem but he didn't find the way.

Good system administrator you should be saying i guess:D

This may ask you to insert your Windows CD-ROM but it will really depend on how Windows was initially installed whether it will ask or not.

You won't loose access to network printers as the "File and Printer Sharing" service only pertains to files and printers on your workstation and not other network resources.
