    Windows Photo Viewer ....

Control Panel > Default Programs > Set Default Programs - Set Default Programs ....

Highlight Windows Photo Viewer and set it as default.

As Nero has grown from it's humble beginings to a full blown multi-media suite it has become over intrusive, taking over all sorts of 'duties'. Whenever I install Nero I make a custom install and install only the burning software, which is all I require :)

Nero Express Essentials came preinstalled on this OEM. I think you can still get Nero 8 without all the bells and whistles, so I'm going to check that out.
    Thanks.

Here is a link to a free viewer that folks, including me, have been using for years. It is IrFanView: Click Here
