Hello, I have a PC running XP, the MSI motherboard has a dead Rhine ethernet chip on board. I am running on Realtek PCI card.
I have disabled the Rhine and uninstalled it in Device Manager but every time I boot up, it re-appears in device manager, it has in the past caused conflicts with the Realtek ether net and I wondered if it is possible to disable it permanently?

I would just disable it in device manager and leave it be.

You might maybe be able to kill it in the BIOS.

Disable it in BIOS first otherwise every time Windows would find it & install drivers.
