Resolved computer wont start w/ IDE drive connected

    well none of it worked, i took out the battery, left it out for a day, then put it back in. reset the bios. so...any other suggestions?

    one thing i could try is buying a normal 4pin molex cable.

    also, i can backup the files on the sata drive, on my bro's labtop. buy a hard drive enclosure. he doesnt know if it would load xp or act as an external hard drive. any yall know about this?

    pcyouzer, I have come to the conclusion that it would be wiser for you to consult a computer technician to solve your problem, to save yourself from doing more damage to your machine. In my opinion you don't seem to to have enough experience yet.

    im just gonna refomrat w/ my bro's sata data, then backup my files on the other if i can, if not i can use a enclosure on my bros laptop and back up there
