Resolved How do I get Yahoo instead of Outlook Express to be default mail program?

When I punch am email response I get OE instead of Yahoo (which is my email server). How do I change this. Just redid my HD and there are now quite a few of these bugs.

 

You can't set Yahoo or other web based mail services as your default email handlers as Windows expect to see some program [exe file] & not a url.

I also notice that you are using XP SP2. Upgrade to SP3 ASAP as Microsoft is abandoning SP2 altogether.

 

Before I reformatted my HD anytime I clicked an email on any site Yahoo popped up, but it OE pops up, so I know it can be done.

 

Which browser are you using ?

 

It can be done in FireFox but not in IE [AFAIK].
