    Howdy All,

Short story: I have to uninstall Office 2007 then reinstall.

How can I keep all of my Outlook (Ver 12.0) emails and folders, and my full Address Book when I do this re-install?

When I tried to do the export to file, it appears that I can only select one email folder at a time, which would force me to create a buttload of export files.

There has got to be a simpler way to export all emails and the Address Book.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks,
    CMOS

You probably don't have to do anything. Uninstalling "shouldn't" touch your .pst file. But to be on the safe side just make a copy of the file.

I don't know whether the uninstall touches the .pst file, but my experience is that a reinstall (or repair) does replace it with a virgin .pst file. So copying the .pst file is certainly sound advice :)

Does that one pst file contain both the emails and contacts?

    Thanks,

Just do an archive of the whole personal folder. That is what I do and when you do the archive, make sure you have the top most directory selected and also make sure when you do the archive that the date to archive from is at the minmum todays date. I usually make that date the next day in the future. Then point the archive file to an external source or someplace you know you can get to it after you are ready. When you are ready, Outlook has to be all set up and ready, click file open, then "outlook data file" and browse to where you saved the archive and select it. I have used this way to move all my outlook files between pc's when I had to and it was on both XP and Vista pc's.

    Microsoft Office tools

You can also use Microsoft Office Tools to export current settings if you plan not to change the menus, folder settings or archive folder paths.

    Hey Guys,

Still having some problems. Basically I HAD a bootleg copy of MS Office 2007 installed on my PC. I uninstalled this version and installed a fully new, licensed version of O7. However, after installation I am still getting the "This copy of office is not genuine. "

    What's the scoop with this???
