I have just sent a mail using MS Outlook Express.

I did not check it for spelling so I would like to delete it from the mail server and send another message to my sendee.

[basically I want to block my sendee from opening the incorrect email or better yet remove it from their inbox].

    How do I do that?

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks.

    Once it is sent...it's gone.

If you are fast enough and can get your ISP to actually answer the phone, they can delete it.:)

Yup. Once you click that SEND button...it's gone! Have you thought about setting up your spell checker to automatically check on sending? I use that one on mine. It's a thought....

furious_star - there are some setups where you could do this but OE doesn't play in any of those.

Microsoft Outlook using Exchange Server can be set to let you take em back as long as they are still in the person's inbox but otherwise, I can't think of any ways.

Well I found out that in order to have MS Outlook to automatically spell check you MUST have either:

MS Word, MS Excel or MS PowerPoint running on your machine. Without them, there is no spell checking option in Outlook.

The computer I was using to send my email has none of those programs. Funny huh?

Anyway, somehow the email God was shinning on me and the personal assistant of my email sendee, erased all of his email by mistake.

So I just sent a new email.... with correct spelling this time.

WOW! Lucky you! That makes the hair on my arm stand up. All his email was wiped out? Freaky.

Anyway, have you thought about setting up your mail to automatically check for spelling when you do a send?

    Panda?

    Panda....

According to Outlook Help, you can not set spell check on outgoing email if you do not have:

MS Word, MS Excel or PowerPoint installed on your computer.

My computer does not have any of those programs so there is no spelling option.

Do you know of another way to activate spelling?

I guess it would help if I actually READ the post and REMEMBERED what I read! I now see that you did mention that you don't have those programs. And, yes, you do need them to run your spell check. I had that same problem with my old computer. I had MSWorks, but that wasn't good enough. Somewhere out there was a program that worked with Works, but I don't remember the name or if it's still out there. I did do a search on google, though, and ran across THIS that might work for you. It sounded interesting and looked safe. If this isn't an option, then maybe someone else out there can recommend a program that will work with your email.

Sorry I couldn't be of further help. Let us know what you decide. I really like my spell check option and hope you can find one, too.

    :)
