When I was a kid, the ladies who gutted the fish and filetted them for the commercial fishers were usually either Finnish or Norweigan, and they were uniformly old, grouchy, and when they spoke in English, could take six coats of buttermilk paint off any surface at a range of about thirty yards. I learned a LOT of words that my mother just did NOT approve of!
