Hi, I'm an OAP and I can't afford to buy the new Office suite when it comes out and I've lost my Office 2007 software.

I've been using the Office 2010 beta programme which will expire in October and as I say I can't afford the full suite including Outlook, which I need. I will use OpenOffice for the Word and Excel functions.

Consequently, what I want is a piece of software which is free or at least under £50 (US$35), with more or less the same functions as outlook 2007 or 2010 with a contacts list and a mail function to work with windows live mail and a calendar/planner with the ability to have recurring and colour-coded events.

I have trawled around the web, but can't find anything worthwhile. I would be very grateful if anyone knows of and can recommend such a programme to me

    Thank you.

Perfect, I didn't realize it came as a stand-alone. I'l mark this as solved.

You could have used Mozilla's Thunderbird 3.0 - this is available at n/c.:)
