Just set up new HD and want to get the bookmarks from the old HD (that are not currently backed up.
Thinking once they are backed up, the backup could be transferred via flash drive, or is there an easier way?
Don't know where to start on this one.

You don't mention what version of FF you are using.

I use 3.0.4 and if I click on Bookmarks>Organize Bookmarks there is a Import and Backup button. I have never used it but I suspect it would do the trick. If you back up on your current bookmarks then copy the file to a USB drive then import them after you install FF on your new drive it should work.

I use MozBackup to back up my active FF & TB. It does the entire profile.

If you select "Export HTML" as scout321x described from Import and Backup, you will get a bookmarks.html file. I don't know how you would go from one drive to another, but you could try Right click?Copy in drive1, and Right click/Paste to drive2. I have a backup external drive, and a flash drive would do, but there is nothing simpler than Copy/Paste

    Try the addon - XMarks.

You can upload & save your bookmarks & passwords on the site and download/synchronise them whenever/where ever you require them.

It may be so, but why use an addon when you can do it more simply?
Addons, also, often, are not updated when the program is, and you are left to square one.
As for passwords, I find it safer to write them down on a piece of paper.

    Westside,

Think of XMarks as offline backup for your bookmarks. If anything happens to your computers, at least they are safe. And on top of it its no brainer - you don't have to dig into bowels of computer to find your bookmarks.

Whether you save passwords or not is your call & the addon gives you that option.

You may be correct, but I, surely, do not have to dig in the bowels of the computer to get a backup file. But, to each his own!
