Removing a Windows update.

    Hi, My friend has a PC with Windows XP Home and has Office 2003 loaded on it and he has downloaded the windows genuine checking tool KB936929 which causes continual pop- ups etc telling you it is non genuine etc .
    can we delete this update or some other thing to remove this problem.

    hi, Christer , it is a genuine programe but I think it is on more than one PC,
    Just want to get rid of the pop-ups.

    Hi Des!

    Check the license text but I'm pretty sure that it covers one installation only. He will have to uninstall from one computer to fix this problem (and probably give Microsoft a call).

    The board policy is to not assist in circumventing licensing issues and I close this thread.

    KB936929 is SP 3 - sure you have the right number?
    Office may be installed on 2 computers - try more and the program will not activate.
