Resolved Windows Live Mail and Outlook Express 6

Hi.... I had to start using Windows Live Mail instead of Outlook Express because I couldn't email photos from Windows Live Photo Gallery using OE.
Now my default mail handler is Window Live Mail, but I still have OE working in the background. From time to time, I delete messages etc from OE because it gets filled up. Does having OE with WLM at the same time, affect the workings of my emails? If so, how can I get rid of OE? Thanks.

 

Other then being confusing if you’re also receiving emails thru Windows Live shouldn’t effect anything,

Have OE6 quit checking for emails.
Open it up.
Tools – General Tab – uncheck both:
Send and receive messages at startup
check for messages every xxx minutes.

Forgot to mention.
Also change the default mail program, if haven’t already done it, to Windows Live Mail.

In IE - Tools – Internet Options – Programs Tab – email program.

Then Live Mail will open when click to respond on a web page.
